The Plant Superintendent is directly responsible for results in the facility, to include Operations, Customer Satisfaction, Logistics, CGC/CWB, local government officials and Quality Control. The Plant Superintendent will handle all local operational aspects of the BU's plant manufacturing and has accountability for development and meeting forecasted production, efficiency, cost targets and capital expenditure plans.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Is responsible for overall profitability of the facility to include managing plant costs to remain within budget guidelines.
2. Responsible for ensuring the facility is meeting all applicable laws and meets all corporate policies and procedures, including the area of Environment, Health and Safety.
3. Responsible for ensuring employees are managed consistently in all areas of the facility including benefits and salary administration, hiring/orientation and other H/R matters.
4. Leads communications with local labor unions (where applicable).
5. Directs local annual wage review processes and ensures all areas execute hourly Performance Management Process for mid-year and annual performance reviews.
6. Leading and responsible for coordination and administration of shared services on site, such as Maintenance and reliability, Utilities (boilers, electrical supply, water supply), Wastewater / effluent
7. Ensures site compliance with the Guiding Principles, corporate policies and internal controls.
8. Responsible for ensuring site security issues are properly managed,
9. Serve as the location contact for local officials and community organizations. And is the designated site person for coordinating media communication.
10. Has notification and viewing for major capital expenditures

Requirements |
Job Requirements:
1. Four-year degree, in a field relating to agriculture, business, science or engineering
2. Minimum of 5 years of export operations supervision and/or manufacturing management experience.
3. Strong problem identification, problem solving and decision making skills.
4. Deep and practical business acumen, along with a working knowledge of general business functions including Production, Supply Chain, Accounting, Quality Assurance and Human Resources.
5. Strong understanding local, state and federal laws governing the facility operations, as well as Cargill Policy requirements. This includes areas such as EHS and Food Safety.
6. Demonstrated expertise in managing multiple tasks, projects and deadlines in a highly dynamic environment.
7. Demonstrated ability to manage and coach others for high performance and high engagement; motivates, inspires and engages others to excel and work toward a vision.
8. Ability to deal with ambiguity, to create and successfully implement a tactical execution plan from broad strategic concepts. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and take action to drive the facility forward.
9. Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated teamwork and ability to effectively collaborate with others.
10. Demonstrated ability to influence others outside of formal reporting relationships.
